Space news Instagram thread

From 2019 to 2021, I managed an Instagram account called @liftoffrockets about space news and facts (one of my passions). As I posted content, I was beginning to feel the will of creating the very bests visuals possibles. This account quickly became for me a place where I can experiment with visual design, always aimed at providing the best learning experience for my followers.

  1. Acquired skills

I started making these posts on "Canva.com". But I felt like I couldn't do everything I wanted there, so I switched to Adobe Illustrator. Working on this project helped me practice a lot and learn new things. I also learned how to use Adobe After Effects to make animated content using Motion Design techniques.

  2. Contact with Arianespace

On March 2020, I shared a post about Ariane rocket family. Following this, someone from Arianegroup (the European society that builds Ariane rockets) sent me a message to know if I would allow them to share my post on their website. It resulted in an article on ArianeGroup website sharing my content (See the article).

  4. Work for Latitude

On August 2020, I received a message on Instagram from Stanislas Maximin, CEO of Latitude (ex Venture Orbital System). He asked me to design 2 posters of Latitude micro-launcher Zéphyr in the style of my content.

To give more context, Latitude (ex Venture Orbital System) is a French start-up from the New Space, developing a micro-launcher named Zéphyr. At this time, there was two launch complexes from where Latitude was supposed to launch its rocket: The Azores and French Guiana. The idea was to represent Zéphyr in both of these places.

  6. The works I am most proud of

In early 2021, I started to post less on the page because of my studies, resulting in the end of this project. In 2 years, I gathered a community of more than 2,000 space enthusiasts from everywhere on the globe (India, USA, France, Japan,...) and meet tens of wonderful persons.

Here are the works I am most proud of:
